Located in northern Iceland, the Troll Peninsula (Tröllaskagi) offers one of the most scenic and secluded backcountry environments in Europe. Rugged peaks meet the ocean, with thousands of skiable lines ranging from gentle bowls to steep couloirs – and thanks to heli-assist, we start high and tour deep.
Independent arrival in Akureyri or via internal flight from Reykjavik. Group transfer to our mountain lodge in the Troll Peninsula. Meet the guide team, go through gear checks and safety briefings, followed by a welcome dinner.
We begin with a helicopter lift into a remote alpine zone. From there, we explore nearby peaks on skins and ride fresh lines all the way back to the valley. Terrain is tailored to group level.
Skinning: 600–1000 m | Descent: 2,000–3,000 m
Another heli-drop into new terrain. The guides will select objectives based on snow, weather, and group pace. Expect a mix of glacier traverses, ridgelines, and long powder descents.

Last day, last push. A final heli drop launches us into a rewarding traverse or a final summit-to-sea descent with unforgettable views of the fjords.
